In December 2021, Netflix announced the launch of a behind-the-scenes tennis docu-series with the “Drive To Survive” team. The third sport to be covered by the platform after Formula 1 and Golf, the teams followed the ATP and WTA tours throughout the 2022 season, including during the four Grand Slam tournaments. A year later, the streaming platform released a first trailer. The first five episodes of ‘Break Point’, covering the first part of the season until the French Open, will be available from January 13, 2023, just before the start of the Australian Open. The second part will be broadcast in June.
This Wednesday, Netflix has released a first trailer with the appearance of many players including Nick Kyrgios, Matteo Berrettini, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Frances Tiafoe or Stefanos Tsitsipas in the men’s side and Paula Badosa, Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur in the women’s side. Interviews with Maria Sharapova, Toni Nadal and Patrick Mouratoglou are also on the program.
