Fritz: “I play for titles and confetti…”

Interviewed by Arab News after his victory at the Diriyah Tennis Cup, the 9th player in the world talked about his interest in tennis, but especially in victories and titles. This year, the 25-year-old American has not lost any of his 3 finals, 4 counting this exhibition final against Daniil Medvedev.

The American loves to be photographed and be the center of attention after winning tournaments: “I feel very happy every time I win a tournament and I can hold the trophy and lift it. I love the confetti and the flares, the pictures that are taken… everything that follows a win! That’s one of the reasons why you want to play tennis, and why I like to be involved in it.”
