As at the end of each year, the players had the opportunity to vote for their favorite tournament in each category (1000, 500 and 250). Not surprisingly, Indian Wells was honored for the eighth consecutive year on the ATP Tour and for the ninth consecutive year on the WTA Tour. Next, the Queen’s tournament in the men’s and Charleston were honored in the ATP and WTA 500, while in the 250, the players elected the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha and the ladies preferred the Transylvania Open in Cluj.
“We are truly honored to have been voted Tournament of the Year by the ATP players for a record eighth consecutive year,” explained Tommy Haas, Director of the Indian Wells Masters 1000. “We are very proud that the hard work of our entire team has been recognized in this way. We are already working hard to ensure that the 2023 event is the best it can be for players, fans and visitors from around the world, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to Tennis Paradise in March.”
