The Russian easily defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime on Friday, his fifth win in as many matches on the ATF, and left Grigor Dimitrov with nothing but scraps in the semifinals? 6-1, 6-2. The Russian will aim for a 16th title against Jannik Sinner, one of the best indoor players. The Italian, who won the Open Sud de France, is on fire and finds the conditions perfectly suited to his game. His victory against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round, also a formidable player on the surface, speaks volumes about the level of the Transalpine. The only hitch was the famous head-to-head against Medvedev. A first victory against the Russian with an 8th title at the end would have a strong meaning.
