While the ATP has just revealed the set of nominees for its various trophies of the 2022 season, including the best coach of the year, Nick Kyrgios, who reached the final of Wimbledon without a coach, humorously considered on his Twitter account that he should be elected for this distinction.
“To be honest, I should be elected coach of the year, I trained to go to the final of Wimbledon,” wrote the always provocative Australian.
As a reminder, the five nominees to win this coach of the season 2022 trophy are: Juan Carlos Ferrero (Carlos Alcaraz’s coach), Frederic Fontang (Felix Auger-Aliassime’s coach), Goran Ivanisevic (Novak Djokovic’s coach), Michael Russel (Taylor Fritz’s coach) and finally Christian Ruud (Casper Ruud’s father and coach).
