While Rafael Nadal is quietly recovering from his hip injury sustained in the second round of the Australian Open, he was also able to mentor another Top 10 player in his academy. In recent days, Felix Auger-Aliassime has taken advantage of the dream facilities to perfect his game and physique in Manacor. If the two players have always gotten along well, the Canadian and the Spaniard are now linked by Toni Nadal. Rafa’s uncle is now training FAA full time to help him reach the next level in major tournaments.
After reaching the 4th round of the Australian Open, Felix Auger-Aliassime prepared for his next tournaments at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar. During an intense week, the Canadian player trained under the watchful eye of Toni Nadal and Frederic Fontang. To top off his stay, Rafa Nadal himself played host when Felix and his team visited the Rafa Nadal Museum. During the visit, they had time to enjoy the interactive experiences and admire all the trophies and objects donated by great athletes. In addition, they immortalized their visit with two photos in front of the Grand Slam trophy cabinet and the one containing the Masters 1000 that Rafa won in Toronto and Montreal.
